Planning for aged care is often difficult both emotionally and financially. We understand the many ripple effects a move to an aged care facility can have for all concerned.

The importance of holding conversations at a time where all relevant parties can make sound decisions for themselves or their loved ones is invaluable.

We recognise the complexities and the important decisions that must be made by our clients at this time.

Our role is to ensure that these important family decisions are made on the basis of sound advice.

Our comprehensive offering seeks to deliver you with both the financial options and the logistical considerations associated with Aged Care.

Accordingly we have developed two service offerings which may be undertaken separately or in combination.

Specialised Aged Care financial advice

This will include four distinct steps, namely:

• A Discovery Meeting to determine your specific needs.
• Advice Preparation designed to identify the different options that are available to you and the impact of each with respect to lifestyle, costs, benefits, tax and your social security entitlements.
• Advice Presentation to all relevant parties. We recognise the importance of the lifestyle decisions being made and will invite other family members to ensure that all key decision-makers are present.
• Follow Up Meeting to address any subsequent questions you may have that emanate from private family discussions.

The outcomes and options in the advice document reveal only part of the story, so we have developed a placement service that implements the agreed plan.

Placement Service

The seven step service includes:

• Completion of an ACAT Assessment – necessary for any admission to be granted.
• Obtaining a Needs and Preferences Statement to clarify your specific facility requirements.
• Liaising with Centrelink to complete all necessary documentation for admission and government entitlements.
• Locating an Appropriate Facility in line with your stated requirements and securing a place.
• Formulating a Pre-Placement Plan to deliver a sense of comfort and certainty for all family members.
• Specialised Transportation for the new resident to the care facility.
• Undertaking a Post Admission Check to ensure that all of your needs have been met.
