Responsible Investing
Responsible Investing (RI) is defined, by the Principles for Responsible Investments (PRI), “as a strategy and practice to incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in investment decisions and active ownership”. We believe it is typically used as the umbrella term for the various approaches that incorporate ESG factors that aim to achieve different RI outcomes through time. These outcomes range from risk mitigation through to having a direct impact on society or the environment.
In the process of understanding the landscape of managers’ RI capabilities, we focus on which capabilities the managers offer and their relative strengths in each ESG category.
